- My Dog Ate My Night Guard!
I am a fairly organized person. So when my night guard went missing for a few days, I was a little concerned. Usually, it is in one of 2 places, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. So imagine my surprise when it was finally located in Celeste’s (my dog’s) secret hiding place. It was still in one piece but nicely chewed. I couldn’t put that back in my mouth. “My dog ate my night guard!” I’ve heard this line from patients but I never thought it would happen to me. It is unfortunate when you have a comfortable night guard and then it’s gone. Custom made night guards are expensive. This is a cautionary tale. Lesson learned. Always put your night guard in its case when not wearing it. Normally, the case would be kept in the bathroom, near the toothbrush and such. But it might make sense to keep the case on your nightstand, so that if you do remove it from your mouth while still in bed (which is what I did), it will be safe and easily found. Before our pets get to it. Another Celeste Tale (tail) can be found here: BPA: A Real Life Case Study- Celeste's Story If you like this post you may also like: Cures for the Grinding Holiday Stress
- Is Fluoride Making You Sick?
Fluoride is found everywhere today. Not just toothpaste and mouthwashes, but in many antibiotics, medications, and even non-stick cooking pans. I think that most of us know that it is found in many bottled waters and municipal water supplies. The fallout from this fluoridated water supply is that it is currently in just about everything we eat or drink that has been made from these waters. There is no escaping fluoride in the modern world, and as a result, there has been a plethora of diseases associated with this fluoride overdose. Fluoridated water from the kitchen sink Here are the top 7 fluoride related health challenges: 1. Dental fluorosis. The unsightly staining and pitting of teeth is an obvious visual marker. 2. Osteofluorosis of your bones. Usually found later in life and misdiagnosed as osteoporosis. 3. Calcification of pineal gland. Can’t sleep? Melatonin is produced by the pineal gland. If yours is calcified by fluoride, you will have decreased melatonin production. This will follow with less sleep. ( See my post on sleeping for more help.) 4. Thyroid disease. The thyroid is one of the biggest uptakers of iodine. If you are iodine deficient (most people are), your Iodine receptors will uptake the next best thing. Since fluoride and iodine have the same electron configuration in the outer electron shell, the receptors may take the fluoride instead. This will leave your thyroid highly imbalanced and in need of attention. 5. Hormone imbalance diseases. Cystic breast, cystic ovaries, fibroids and prostatitis are at the top of this list. Malignancies associated with these organs have also been correlated with fluoride overdose/iodine deficiency. 6. Coronary Artery Disease. A recent study has just shown that fluoride has a positive correlation with increased cardiac risk. 7. Lower IQ. A recently published Harvard University study funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) has concluded that children who live in areas with high fluoridation have “significantly lower” IQ scores than those who live in low fluoride areas. So to answer our title question, “Is fluoride making you sick?’, the answer is clear. The implications of fluoride in our daily diet are more complicated than what we were led to believe. Now is the time to rethink the dogmatic belief that fluoride is good for you and your teeth. If you like this post, you may also like: The Flaws of Fluoride or A Fluoride Anniversary
- Biomimetic Dentistry
A relatively new phrase in the holistic dental community is ‘biomimetic dentistry’. The word "biomimetic" is derived from two terms: "biology," the science of life or living matter in all its forms, and "mimic," to imitate or copy. With the advent of adhesive bonding technologies in dentistry over the past few decades, materials and techniques have been developed that allow for the minimal removal of tooth structure, followed by adhering tooth-colored material onto or within the tooth. The philosophy behind this brings new meaning to the phrase “less is more”. Historically, when prepping a tooth for a filling, dental schools taught students “extension for retention” and “extension for prevention”. In essence, the bigger you make the cavity prep, the more likely the filling will stay in and the less likely you will get a recurrent cavity around it. This no longer holds any truth in the modern dental arena. Nowadays, decay is removed and a restoration is bonded that both strengthens and mimics the form and color of the remaining healthy tooth. Depending upon the individual needs of a tooth, it can be repaired either with a bonding material applied directly to the tooth, or with a conservative inlay/onlay (similar to a partial crown) fabricated in a dental laboratory. Biomimetic Dentistry: Less is more. In these cases, crowns and prophylactic root canals can be avoided. The integrity, form, esthetics and function of the tooth, as nature intended, can be preserved. Thus, biomimetic dentistry is achieved. Unfortunately, there are still (holistic) dentists practicing old school philosophy. An instance of this presented itself just a few days ago. A new patient came in regarding a second opinion on her dental situation. This particular patient wanted to have her mercury filings replaced but found that she could not afford the fee presented in her treatment plan. This treatment plan presented by the holistic dentist she saw, involved crowning almost every tooth that had a mercury filling in it. She was hoping that perhaps I might have a solution that was less aggressive and more affordable. After evaluating her teeth, we created a treatment plan that would safely replace her amalgams, mostly with conservative white fillings. Our treatment plan was considerably less expensive than the one with all the crowns and certainly more in the realm of holistic biomimetic dentistry. A win-win situation for both the dental health and financial health of the patient. So if you are looking to preserve your natural dentition as much as possible, consider working with a dentist who is biomimetically aware. There is more to being a “holistic” dentist than labeling yourself as such. For my personal experience on this, you might also want to read Choosing a Holistic Dentist. - Osteonecrosis: Death of the Jawbone
When one thinks about losing teeth, usually we think of periodontal (gum) disease, deep dental decay or maybe even trauma (getting hit in the mouth). But as baby boomers age, one has to consider how medication may play a part in this. Osteonecrosis of the Jawbone Osteonecrosis, or death of the jawbone, is on the rise. It has been reported in patients who are receiving treatment that includes bisphosphonates (for osteoporosis), chemotherapy (for cancer), and/or corticosteroids (for inflammation). The majority of reported osteonecrosis cases have been connected to dental procedures such as tooth extraction or implant placement. It is not that these procedures create it, but that they actually uncover it and expose its presence. Osteonecrosis of the jaw is also known as avascular necrosis of the bone which basically is the death of bone resulting in the collapse of the bone’s structural architecture. It may lead to bone pain, loss of bone function, and bone destruction, and it is the result of a number of conditions leading to an impairment of the blood supply to the bone. Symptoms of osteonecrosis also include toothache, exposed bone (it literally pokes its way through the gums), swelling and loosening of the teeth, altered sensation, and recurrent soft-tissue infection. Osteonecrosis frequently results in chronic pain and disfigurement, and it is difficult to treat. Medical practitioners are also seeing atypical fractures of the femur (thigh bone) that don’t heal. This is because this dense bone doesn’t remodel and doesn’t allow in a good blood supply. Many dentists are also seeing an increasing need for root canal surgery because of these bisphosphonate drugs. The IV (intravenous) forms of the bisphosphonate medications have proven to have the most devastating effects, but the oral forms are also implicated in osteonecrosis. Both the IV and oral forms have the same mechanism of action. The jawbone, more than other bones, is particularly vulnerable to osteonecrosis because of tooth and gum susceptibility to infection. The risk factors for developing osteonecrosis of the jaw include: • Taking bisphosphonates, especially in IV form • History of cancer, osteoporosis, or Paget’s disease • Concomitant therapies (e.g., chemotherapy, radiotherapy, corticosteroids) • Co-morbid conditions (e.g., anemia, coagulopathies, infection, pre-existing oral disease) • Invasive dental procedures (e.g., tooth extraction or dental implants, and local anesthetics) It is important to note that withdrawing the medication is not thought to make any difference in the outcome. Bisphosphonates have a 10-year half-life and will accumulate in the bone for up to three half-lives, or 30 years. For the next 30 years, a patient who once received bisphosphonate therapy may be at significantly increased risk for osteonecrosis, and dental treatment must be carefully considered. Common Bisphosphonate Medications The only true preventive measure would be to avoid bisphosphonate medications. (See our blog: Rebuilding Bone Naturally). Lots of minerals, Vitamin D3, K2 and weight bearing exercise are top priority. If you like this post, you may also like: Rebuilding Bone Naturally or Eggshell: The Forgotten Health Food
- Fluoride with Lead: A Toxic Combination
According to a recent report published by the Fluoride Action Network, fluoridation chemicals added to public water supplies can leach lead from water pipes and increase lead levels in children’s blood. The report, produced in light of the current lead poisoning crisis in Flint, Michigan, explains that fluorosilicic acid (the chemical that fluoridates the drinking water) intensifies the corrosion from lead pipes and fixtures. Fluorosilicic acid is a caustic fluoride byproduct of the commercial fertilizer industry and is added to public water supplies, including Flint’s, in a failed effort to prevent tooth decay. (See our many posts on Fluoride that explain this.) Even though lead water pipes were banned in 1986, these pipes are still in use throughout the nation’s water supply infrastructure. Fluoride increases the acidity of the water and accelerates the leaching of lead, not only from the waterline pipes, but also from the brass fixtures on your sinks and showers. (There is 1% to 3% lead in brass.) Studies have found that children living in areas with fluoride treated water have higher levels of lead in their blood. In a study by National Institute of Health (NIH) and Food & Drug Administration (FDA), scientists found that fluoride facilitates the uptake of lead into the blood of laboratory animals, and magnifies lead’s toxic effects on the body. It was also found that lead can magnify the damaging effects of fluoride thereby affecting our teeth (dental fluorosis), bones (osteofluorosis) and brain health (fluoride is a neurotoxin). (See our other posts under Fluoride Category) So if you are drinking fluoridated water without filtering it, you may be creating a heavy metal toxicity issue (in addition to the fluoride injury) for yourself. It is important to be aware and be proactive in preventing this. If you like this post, you may also like: Our Other Fluoride Posts
- Oral Probiotics
When we think about probiotics, we automatically think of intestinal health. We know that intestinal health is a significant key to our healthy immune system, so it is important to maintain its integrity by eating fermented foods or regularly supplementing with probiotics. But now we can look at the other end of the digestive system- the mouth. Most of us are already aware that the health of the mouth is a reflection of our bodily health. This has already been shown through conventional medicine with simple correlations of periodontal (gum) disease with coronary disease. Holistically, the meridian system (via Acupuncture) has shown that every tooth is correlated with a corresponding body part. (see Meridian Chart here) With this in mind, maintaining a healthy flora in the oral cavity may be an important shield in preventing cavities, gum disease, bad breath and localized infections like the common cold or sore throat. The bigger picture is that it may save your life by preventing disease in distant outlying bodily organs. Friendly bacteria (probiotics) boost our immune system and hinder pathogens from binding to your body's tissues. Probiotics can also lessen the growth of pathogens by producing agents that make it harder for them to live and thrive. According to one dental study, probiotics also have properties that reduce inflammation, a benefit that curtails the harmful effects of pathogens. In addition, they can stimulate bone formation, which helps repair the bone that deteriorates from advanced forms of gum disease. Improving the flora of the mouth is critical for improving overall health. The question is which probiotics to take. • Streptococcus salivarius helps maintain normal oral pH, breaks apart biofilms that harbors germs, reduce inflammation by lowering inflammatory cytokines • Streptococcus oralis and Streptococcus uberis have reported to inhibit the growth of pathogens both in the laboratory and animal models. They are indicators of healthy periodontium. When these bacteria are absent from sites in the periodontal tissues, those sites become more prone to periodontal disease. • Streptococcus rattus adheres to teeth and gets below the gum line to crowd out undesirable bacteria that can cause cavities. A combination of these probiotics will create a continuous low dose release of hydrogen peroxide that kills off harmful microorganisms and naturally whitens teeth. For those of us who are looking for easy ways to improve our health, intake of daily probiotics for the mouth and gut is a simple routine to include for creating optimal well-being. - Bleeding Gums
Do you have bleeding gums or chronic bad breath? Do you find blood on your pillow in the morning? If you have answered “yes” to any of these questions you may have gum disease. Bleeding Gums Periodontal (gum) disease is rampant. It is estimated that 80% of the adult population over the age of 40, have it. Most people aren’t even aware that they have it since it is fairly painless with minimal symptoms. If left untreated, the obvious sequelae include painful abscesses, loose teeth, and finally tooth loss. The less obvious sequelae is chronic inflammation in the body, heart attack and strokes. The worst part is that many dental professionals tend to overlook gum disease, since they are so focused on the actual teeth, not the supporting structures (gums and bone) holding them in your mouth. So going for routine dental checkups may not even be useful in getting a proper diagnosis. Not all bleeding gums are indicative of periodontal disease. But it does indicate something is amiss. Here are some other reasons for bleeding gums: 1. Poor or infrequent brushing 2. Poor or infrequent flossing (See our post Floss First) 3. Vitamin deficiency 4. Smoking 5. Stress (See our post Cures for the Grinding Holiday Stress) 6. Crooked or overlapping teeth 7. Medication side effects 8. Sharing saliva with someone who has gum disease. (See our post Gum Disease is Contagious) 9. Pregnancy or hormonal imbalance (See our post Dental Health During Pregnancy) 10. Acidic saliva pH (See our post Saliva Secrets: pH) 11. Oral flora is off balance (See our post Oral Probiotics) If these circumstances are not recognized or corrected, bleeding gums may become a chronic condition and eventually turn into periodontal disease. There are many simple and natural ways to heal bleeding gums before it becomes full blown periodontal disease. Something as simple as increasing your Vitamin C intake may not only stop your bleeding gums but may also reduce bruising, prevent cataracts, and strengthen your entire immune system. The health of our mouth is a reflection of the health of our entire body, so it is important to listen to what our teeth and gums are telling us. Conventional dentistry is fairly aggressive at treating the symptoms of periodontal disease, but it may never actually address the underlying cause, setting you up for a lifetime of chronic periodontal care that never cures it. If this is your situation, it may be time to see a biological dentist who may actually help you find the origin and eliminate it completely. So if you have bleeding gums, it is best to have a qualified licensed health professional evaluate your oral cavity. And always get a second opinion before moving forward with any aggressive periodontal treatment. If you like this post you may also like: Gum Disease is Contagious
- Wonderful Whey Protein
Detoxing the body from heavy metals and other everyday toxins can be a challenge. As such, it is important to find simple routines and nutrients to incorporate into your daily rituals to enhance health. (Read My Secrets to Regaining Health) Ingesting whey protein may be worth adding to your list. Whey Protein Powder Whey is formed as a byproduct of cheese production. It is a complete and balanced protein because it contains all the “essential” amino acids (as well as additional amino acids). It supplies the purest form of these crucial nutrients and cofactors for cellular repair and growth. More importantly, it increases the body's level of glutathione (our master antioxidant). Glutathione level is an excellent indicator of overall health and the ability of our immune system to support detoxification and a healthy aging process. Whey has a very high content of sulfur-containing amino acids (such as cysteine) that are necessary for the biosynthesis of glutathione. And studies have shown that you can effectively raise your glutathione levels through the consumption of whey protein. Glutathione is different from other antioxidants in that it is intracellular (produced within the cell and not transported between cells). It has the unique ability of maximizing the activity of all the other antioxidants present, including vitamins C and E, CoQ10 and alpha lipoic acid. It assists in removing toxins from your cells and protects you from the damaging effects of radiation, chemicals, and environmental pollutants. Several components of whey also known as cofactors, include the immunoglobulins, lactoferrin (anti-inflammatory, improves bone density), lactoferricin (antimicrobial and anti-tumor), sphingolipids (allows for proper communication between cells), lactoperoxidase (anti-bacterial agent), and glycomacropeptides. All of these cofactors have been shown to support the body’s ability to inhibit the growth of a wide range of bacteria, fungi, yeast, and protozoa. The regular use of whey protein can help keep your body prepared to ward off everything from the common cold and beyond. Basic health benefits include: • Antiviral and antibacterial effects • Strengthening immune system • Lowering blood pressure through vascular relaxation • Improved bone density • Prebiotic benefits enhancing intestinal health • Appetite suppression and weight control If you want to supplement your diet with whey protein products, you have to be careful because not all whey protein products are created equal. Most conventional and vitamin stores sell whey protein powders which are loaded with sugar and chemicals that don’t support good health or detoxification. If you’re going to supplement, you should only use a high quality whey protein that provides all the necessary nutritional elements for naturally boosting glutathione. Be sure that your whey protein supplement has the following features: 1. Certified Organic Grass-Fed, hormone free, unflavored, 100% pure, non-GMO 2. Cold processed from raw milk 3. Whey protein concentrate, not protein isolates 4. Sweetened naturally or not at all Personally, I really enjoy the flavor of whey protein as it adds a creamy texture to my green smoothies. I also notice that I am mentally more alert and physically energized after drinking it. No need for caffeine when you supplement with whey. - Swimming Can Be Harmful to Your Teeth
As a biological dentist, I have quite a number of health conscious patients, several of whom are avid swimmers. Swimming is a very healthy sport, but it can have its drawbacks. Handstand in the swimming pool Most swimming pools are chlorinated, and as most of us already know, chlorine can be toxic. We know that our skin is the biggest organ for sweating out poisons (detoxification), but it is also the biggest organ for absorbing poisons. That being said, it would be good to avoid exposing our skin to all known toxic chemicals: sunscreen, most makeup and moisturizers, and of course, chlorinated swimming pools. Aside from the systemic absorption of chlorine through the skin into the body creating imbalances in iodine levels (see Iodine vs. Fluoridene Secret to Better Health post for further information), chlorine can have an effect clinically directly on the teeth. According a recent article from the Academy of General Dentistry, “Athlete swimmers, who often swim laps more than six hours a week, expose their teeth to large amounts of chemically treated water. Pool water contains chemical additives like antimicrobials, which give the water a higher pH than saliva, causing salivary proteins to break down quickly and form organic deposits on swimmer’s teeth. The result is swimmer’s calculus, hard, brown tartar deposits that appear predominantly on the front teeth.” So, if you notice that you are getting stained teeth due to swimming, you may want to ask your dentist about coming in for more frequent dental cleanings. The other issue with swimming in chlorinated pools, concerns the pH of the water. This case report tells the story of a competitive swimmer who swam in a gas-chlorinated swimming pool and experienced notable dental erosion within 27 days. It says, “Several reports indicate an increased prevalence of dental erosion among intensive swimmers due to low pH gas-chlorinated pool water.” Several cases are presented but one extreme case report is presented which describes a competitive swimmer who experienced very rapid excessive dental erosion within 27 days, due to gas-chlorinated pool water. Gas chlorination results in the formation of hydrochloric acid in the water. Inadequate buffering of this hydrochloric acid can decrease the pH level significantly, increasing the risk of erosion on contact with the dentition. If you notice that you are losing some enamel on your teeth due to swimming, you may want to check with the swimming pool maintenance company to make sure that the swimming pool’s water pH is within the normal range. Also, it may be a good idea to do frequent oil pulling (see Oil Pulling post) before and after swimming in a chlorinated pool to minimize the dental effects. - Heal Your Gut. Heal Your Life.
It has been said that 80% of the immune system can be found in the intestines. If this is true, then good health will never be attained until your digestive system is working at its best. Intestines So if you are dealing with chronic health problems and also have chronic intestinal issues (constipation, loose stools, bleeding, bloating, or any combination of these), then you might want to actively focus on fixing your gut, in order to fix your health. As a holistic integrative healer, I see many patients with chronic health challenges (allergies, skin conditions, brain fog, fibromyalgia, etc.) autoimmune diseases (Lupus, MS, Hashimoto’s, Crohn’s, IBS, etc.) and cancers. Many clients have finally made the connection that dental health plays a significant role in overall body health. Removing toxic dental restorations and toxic teeth can be helpful in healing, but may not be enough to turn your health situation around. It is still necessary remove all the lingering poisons that have accumulated in your body from these toxic teeth. By repairing the intestines, your body can now actually effectively remove the poisons that have accumulated through all the years of holding these dental toxins. There are other ways to detox these poisons, but the intestines are primary, more so because intestines possess an intricate lymphatic system (GALT-Gut Associated Lymphoid Tissue) which helps remove toxins through the lymph system as well as through daily bowel movements. Without getting into too much science, here are the basics in improving and healing the gut. • Limit grains, seeds, and nuts • Limit dairy intake • Daily doses of probiotics (good bacteria) • Daily doses of prebiotics ((feeds the good bacteria) • Daily doses of L-glutamine (rebuilds the intestinal wall) • Daily doses of caprylic acid or coconut oil (kills off yeast and fungus overgrowth) • Eat at least 1 type of fermented food daily (cultured vegetables, kefir or kombucha) I have seen this regimen work miracles for many patients, as it did for myself. When I had gotten past chronic Lyme disease, I was suffering from leaky gut and many food allergies which I had never had before. By following this diet, I saw a significant change for the better within 6 weeks of starting it. Within a short time period of time, I no longer had any food allergies and can now eat just about anything, including gluten and dairy. By improving your intestinal flora, gut inflammation and intestinal hyper-permeability will lessen. Your entire immune system will quiet down and function more properly. Work with your health practitioner to personalize this basic rejuvenating remedy. If you like this post you may also like: Heal Your Gut. Heal Your Life.
- Adrenal Fatigue and Mercury Fillings
Adrenal fatigue is rampant. With our highly stressed lives, poor diet and environmental toxins, adrenal gland imbalance will occur and can be a major undiagnosed underlying factor in many chronic illnesses. Testing for adrenal fatigue is easy (saliva test) but rarely done by most physicians, unless specifically requested. Even more unsettling is that most physicians have no clear cut remedy to treat this illness, as the causes of the adrenal fatigue can be multifactorial. It is not simply a nutritional problem but also a result of our daily poor habitual choices in a highly stressed lifestyle. The adrenal glands are 2 of the most powerful endocrine glands in the body. They are also 2 of the most ignored. The adrenals sit on top of the kidneys and produce hormones that are vital to life. The adrenals produce a variety of hormones. They modulate the body's stress response, and are involved in numerous other biological functions including blood pressure control, digestive functions, anti-inflammatory responses, thyroid function and sleep patterns. These are the major adrenal hormones: • Cortisol -helps regulate metabolism and helps your body respond to stress • Aldosterone -helps control blood pressure • Adrenaline -helps your body respond to stress • DHEA –precursor to estrogen and testosterone The most accurate way to assess adrenal function is through a saliva cortisol evaluation. There are other ways to assess adrenal function, including blood tests and Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis. These methods will not give you exact cortisol and DHEA values. Blood tests can measure the adrenal hormones but saliva hormones are considered far more accurate. The symptoms of adrenal fatigue are said to include: • Exhaustion, especially in the morning • Insomnia, trouble getting to sleep • Craving salt and sugar • Unexplained weight loss or weight gain • Reliance on stimulants such as caffeine to get through the day • Dizziness or lightheadedness upon standing • Loss of body hair • Skin discoloration, particularly on the palms of your hands, knees, elbows and knuckles • Lack of menstrual periods • Thyroid imbalance • Depression • Anxiety And I must say that this list could easily describe 80% of the new patients that come for consultations. Most come for mercury amalgam removal. Mercury toxicity from their silver fillings may be a partial cause for their health problems, but adrenal fatigue may also be an issue. Which came first can be tough to say. The causes of adrenal fatigue are due to: • Chronic emotional stress, worry • Poor diet (junk food, alcohol, sugar, caffeine, too much chocolate) • Not enough sleep, staying up too late • Pollutants in the air and food • Heavy metals toxicity (mercury fillings, aluminum from pots and foil) • Reoccurring trauma (PTSD) • EMFs from cell phones, computers, wifi, cell towers In terms of dental health and adrenal fatigue, it has been shown in many research papers that mercury has a high affinity for all endocrine glands (adrenal and thyroid inclusive). So replacing your mercury amalgam fillings may be part of the solution in reversing adrenal fatigue. If you like this post you may also like: Are My Mercury Fillings Bad for Me? or Aluminum Toxicity
- Healing Your Adrenals
As a follow-up to our last post, there are some simple remedies to improve your adrenal health: • Limit all caffeine (soda, coffee, tea, chocolate). Or just limit it to the early morning • Limit all sugar foods or foods that quickly break down to sugar (most simple carbohydrates) • Increase Vit C intake • Increase mineral intake (grey Celtic salt is a good choice as it has 84 minerals) • Increase magnesium intake- Epsom salt baths or magnesium oil • Get off the computer/cell phone before 10 PM • Do your best to get in bed by 10 PM. The circadian rhythm of the body allows for optimum physical healing between the hours of 10 PM and 2 AM • Install the free f.lux software so that your computer/cell phone does not emit the blue light in the evening. (The blue light from these electronics stimulates brain activity and keeps you awake) • Do not eat within 3 hours of bedtime • Add healthy fats – Coconut oil, ghee, olives, organic olive oil, and clarified butter all greatly support adrenal health. • Eliminate stress -try meditation, yoga, breathing techniques • Eliminate toxic metals from your environment (cookware, dental fillings, water supply, etc.) • Add adaptogenic herbs – Ashwagandha, panax ginseng, and astragalus are good choices • Medicinal Mushrooms – These include Reishi, Chaga, Cordyceps, etc. They all have stress-relieving properties and boost overall levels of health. I use them as teas. By integrating as many of these natural adrenal healing practices, you should start feeling more rested, healthy, and energetic over time. Adrenal fatigue can be healed; you just need to see what works best for you. Making better daily choices in foods and lifestyle is key. As always, it is best to work with an adrenal educated health practitioner to get the best results. If you like this post, you may also like: Adrenal Fatigue and Mercury Fillings
