What is a holistic or
biological dentist? How is it different from my regular dentist?
All dentists, whether holistic or traditional, are trained in the same methods at the same dental schools, and must be licensed by their State Boards. A holistic dentist, also referred to as a biological dentist, takes a comprehensive approach that focuses on whole body wellness as related to the oral cavity (teeth, gums, tongue, etc.) Holistic/biological dentists use non-toxic restorative materials for dental work, and emphasize the unrecognized impact that dental toxins and dental infections may have on a person's overall health.

I decided to have my four amalgam fillings removed, and despite not having dental insurance, I chose Dr. Brand because she follows IAOMT protocol.
My experience was fantastic! :) Dr. Brand has deep knowledge of her field and is generous about sharing it. She's down-to-earth, friendly, and highly intelligent. I fully understood my treatment plan and pricing at all times, I was given verbal and written instructions for follow-up care, and I did not feel pressured into any decisions. Best of all, Dr. Brand has a "light touch" - I felt zero pain/discomfort during my procedures, and had easy recoveries with no complications. Truly the best dentist I've had.
Overall, the level of attention and care I received from Dr. Brand and her staff was incredible. They are a pleasure to work with and I'm happy to have found them.
